September 27, the World Tourism Day, is the festival of tourists and people engaged in tourism industry throughout the world. We are greatly honored that the World Tourism Organization (WTO) has designated China as the host country for the 2010 World Tourism Day celebrations.

By that time, China will carry out multi-form and variegated celebrating activities in China's key tourist province -- Guangdong Province, centering on the theme of “tourism and bio-diversity”. We warmly welcome our colleagues in the tourism sector and our friends keen on tourism to join us in celebrating this festival.

Tourism is the most dynamic sunrise industry with great potential of development in today's world. The Chinese Government has decided to promote the tourism industry into a strategic pillar industry of the national economy and a modernized service industry to a greater satisfaction of the people by vigorously developing diversified tourist products such as rural tourism and ecotourism and striving to achieve its sustainable development. We are ready to take the opportunity of holding the World Tourism Day activities to carry out more extensive tourist exchanges and cooperation with all countries.
